Arizona Heritage Research Foundation (AHRF), a Payson-based historic research group incorporated in 2005, has expanded its work to include the preservation of historic buildings. Too many of Payson’s historic buildings are gone. With this thought in mind, we ask you to join with us to help preserve the remaining buildings of value.
The first one on our list of “heritage” homes is that of the late Anna Mae Deming, located at 710 West Main Street. We, the executive board of AHRF, believe we have the know-how to save the Deming home from the clutches of “progress” and hope we can count on you to help.
Our vision is clear. If we can save the Deming home, we plan to move forward, saving other heritage homes. If Payson is to have a historic Main Street, this is crucial.
Again, we need your help – and we appreciate anything you can give us. We will erect a historic plaque outside the Deming home that lists the donors so future generations will know who cared enough to help.
